The 2016 St. Louis Award Banquet was held on October 15 at the Glen Echo Country Club. There were 50 in attendance including 12 members of the research group of the honoree, Professor Liviu Mirica of Washington University. Professor Mirica was accompanied by his wife Liudmila Mirica, a financial manager

Liviu Mirica snags 2016 Saint Louis Award

Pegah Jalili, past chair of the St Louis Section–ACS and chair of the Saint Louis Award jury, has announced the winner of the 2016 Saint Louis Award. Dr Liviu Mirica obtained his BS from Caltech in 1999, where he carried out undergraduate research with Harry Gray. He earned his
